Statues and Monuments
This selection of images illustrates the numerous statues, monuments and memorials throughout the Edinburgh World Heritage Site. Statues and monuments stand at various locations throughout the city and honour national figures, significant events and many celebrated residents.

As well as being set pieces in their own right, the statues and monuments inform the history and heritage of the Site. They form a remarkable collection, notable for their range and importance, and include such varied examples as the extravagant Scott Monument, the intimate depiction of Greyfriars Bobby and numerous statues of celebrated local and national figures.
