This exhibition highlights the city's many historically important buildings.
The Edinburgh World Heritage Site abounds with architecture and buildings of the highest order and historic interest.

The Old Town boasts Holyrood Palace and Abbey, Edinburgh Castle, John Knox House and Edinburgh University Old College as well as grand tenement buildings from the sixteenth century and the later working class tenements of the eighteenth and nineteenth century.

The New Town has outstanding neo-classical buildings such as Great King Street and Robert Adam's Charlotte Square as well as Register House and the Assembly Rooms.
