Description
The central tower of St Giles cathedral, Edinburgh, with its distinctive crown-shaped pinnacle. The spire is intricately carved with a weather vane at the top. Each side of the tower has three arched windows with a larger arched tracery window beneath. Two water spouts protrude from each side of the tower.

The prominent wind vane at the very pinnacle of the crown-shaped spire of St. Giles is made of copper and gilded brass.The form of a cockerel crowns the wind vane.
