View of National Gallery, Scott Monument, and Waverley Station from the Mound in Edinburgh
The Playfair Steps cut into the grassy slope of its way down to the columns of the National Gallery of Scotland. Behind them lie the tracks of Waverley Station with the Scott Monument towering above them. The shops of Princes Street lie behind the monument and lead the eye to the Balmoral Hotel with its clock tower.
