Courtly to learn how [to] sew Clothes
Description
A female wearing a kimono is sitting on a tatami mat, which is a straw mat covered with woven rushes in the traditional Japanese style room with an alcove. The two white rectangles are papered sliding doors. There are two charcoal braziers, one square and one circular, on either side of her. An implement like a ladle lies on the square table. It is a type of old-fashioned iron, which heated charcoal is put inside to smooth out clothes by heat.
