The Hun Salutes
Description
"When the Belgians entered Aix-la-Chapelle they experienced the sweets of poetic revenge. The city was placed under martial law, and a proclamation was issued that the inhabitants should take off their hats to all members of the Allied forces when spoken to and show every courtesy in the presence of officers and men. Nor could complaint be made, for the Belgians had simply translated an order of the day which was posted up throughout Brussels immediately the Germans had occupied that city."
