Title
German Slavery (2) " Are you willing to make munitions for Germany?"
Description
"When the German soldiers, who had handed each labourer a pick or a spade, saw that the men refused to work, they went to fetch a non-commissioned officer. This officer rushed at us, and began distributing blows with the butt end of a rifle. He injured many labourers, and broke the shoulder of one. Thereupon everybody set to work. At the beginning all went relatively well, but the situation has been getting worse. More work is require, and blows fall like hail."
