Description
The magnificent arches of the Dean Bridge span the Water of Leith, Edinburgh. Trinity College Church stands on the right hand side of the bridge. The steep slope leading down to the river is covered with grazing sheep. Under the bridge mill buildings can be seen on the opposite bank. In the distance stands John Watson's School and the Orphan Hospital.

Dean Bridge links Queensferry Street with Queensferry Road over the Water of Leith. It was designed by Thomas Telford and built in 1832 as part of Edinburgh's northward expansion. It rises 32 metres above the Water of Leith close to Dean Village.
