Infirmary Street Baths were built in 1885 and designed by Edinburgh City Architect Robert Morham. Many baths were built in Edinburgh at this time to attempt to stop the spread of Cholera. The baths were closed in 1995 and various plans for it's redevelopment were proposed over the next 13 years. In 2006 Malcolm Fraser, the Edinburgh-based architects were commissioned to convert the baths to a new studio for Dovecot Studios, an innovative tapestry company. The building reopened in it's new form in 2008.
