Argyles [Argyll's] lodging, Stirling
A military procession of soldiers leading four horses who pull cart containing a large canon makes its way up a wide town street. A large fortified building stands at the corner of the street, with a double-towered, arched entrance. A high wall rises above the road on the right of the picture. To the left of the procession stand a number of houses and buildings with smoke billowing from a tall chimney.
