Reproduced by kind permission of William J. Hall
The photographs in this exhibition were kindly loaned to us by Bill Hall for our digital collections. It contains images dating from the early 1900s to the 1980s, taken across Scotland.
Brought up in Edinburgh he has collected many family photographs and items covering his mother's early years and his own boyhood.
Ratho Station is situated to the west of Edinburgh. The station no longer exists and was the site of a train crash in 1917, killing 12 people.
