Title
Canongate Tolbooth
Description
The Canongate Tolbooth on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh is recognisable by the clock attached to its outside wall and by the spire on its roof. An outside stairway, with a lamp-post at the bottom, leads up to a doorway. A man pulls a cart along the street, behind him other horses and carts stand on the road. The street is busy with pedestrians, children and dogs.
