Description
A courtyard stands in the middle of tall apartment blocks and tenement buildings. From the windows of these buildings hang many empty washing lines. Many of the windows also have bars covering them. In the back right-hand corner, a small passageway leads away from the courtyard.

Reproduction of a drawing by Bruce J Home. Bailie Fyfe's Close was previously known as Trotter's Close and Barrie's Close. Its current name dates to 1686 and refers to its then inhabitant Gilbert Fyfe.
