A post card of the Old Inn, Restalrig from Ingram & Co showing a pub and horse drawn carriage with a family standing in the street nearby. Restalrig is an area of East Edinburgh, lying between Meadowbank and Craigentinny. It first appears in the twelfth century when it was known as Lestalric and was a Barony of the Logan family. The core of the original village still survives around St Margaret's Parish Church, which is the site of St. Triduana's Well.
