The exhibition was originally commissioned for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and the lanterns were inspired by the famous 'terracotta army' discovered in 1974.
The lanterns are handmade by traditional lantern making processes and lit from within to create a impressive display of light and form.
They were exhibited in Edinburgh in the University of Edinburgh's historic Quad from 29th January to 7th February 2014.
