Description
A stone paved courtyard is surrounded by old buildings. In the ground is a covered opening. The houses are at different levels and have small windows and tall chimney stacks. Three of the windows have wooden shutters which are swung open.

Riddle's Court is situated on the south side of the Lawnmarket. It takes its name from 'Riddal's Land' dating from 1587 and was built by George Riddell, Wright and Burgess. The remains of the house of Bailie McMorran, built in the 16th century, are located here.
