Malloch's Close - north side of Canongate - mostly demolished
Description
The view looks down a narrow alley between rows of houses. On either side there are stone steps leading to entrances at first floor level. On one side a girl is playing with a doll at the top of the stairs. Below her, two women are talking and a man holding a stick leans on the steps. At the bottom of the steps opposite a woman who is barefoot stands and holds a broom.
