These buildings are called San-Jin Ko (San: three, Jin: god, Ko: storeroom in Japanese) and Jinko is the storeroom for ritual implements. There were sacred treasures in the Kami-Jinko building and ritual implements are kept inside the Naka and Shimo-Jinko buildings for festival time. The structure of the buildings is called "Azekura zukuri", a log-cabin style that has a high level of permeability to maintain moderate humidity.
