The site of the former Edinburgh Meat Market, immediately to the south of Scottish Widows HQ, is, in 2008, still undergoing development by Scottish Widows. The site, previously occupied by Fat Sam's Restaurant, will include a café, restaurant and courtyard, and will retain the old entrance arch from the meat market.
