A double image of the monument to Robert Burns on Calton Hill. The monument resembling a neo-greek temple, is a circular structure surrounded by columns. In the foreground are two cobblestone roads separated by railings and small trees.

The Burns Monument stands on the south side of Regent Road overlooking Calton Cemetary. It was built in 1830 by the architect Thomas Hamilton. It commemorates Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns, who died in 1796.
