Description
17th Feb: "S.W." Hostel.
This morning - Sunday though it be! - was spent packing, writing letters and seeing to Sunday odd jobs. In the afternoon, the Unit mustered out in St George's Gardens opposite; we had our pictures" taken & there followed a full-dress rehearsal, for the inspection at The Palace to-morrow. It was enormous fun meeting old friends again & we had great talks over the old Russian days - some of the girls, I had not seen, since "A" & "B" Hospitals parted before the Dobrudja Retreat in Oct: '16! But very few of the "old originals" are going out again this time, only 4 Hospital Members & 2 Transport, so the old "75" are badly represented.

However, this crowd, look as jolly as the Past & I think we will be a v. "happy family". After tea, I escaped & dashed round to see a few people & bid 'em adieu. Much to my annoyance, the air-raid warning went at 7 o cl: & I was packed off home, in case of being held up & out all night! The noise, as I write, is pretty fearsome & right over-head.
