myself off to my crib. Last night was a "late" night & to-day has been a long, tiring day.

21st Feb: Boulogne.
We have had a whole day "to the good" to-day, so have been having a look round. There doesn't seem to be much to see in this benighted spot - it is anything but a clean city!! The old part of the town is the most interesting. We went up to The Haute-Ville - a square surrounded by ramparts - it occupies the hill - up above the old town & from there we had a "birds' eye" view of the whole place. The beach & the casino are quite good, also the harbour, it is said to rank first in France for herring & cod fishing. At present it is quite a cosmopolitan spot, but predominant among all the varied uniforms are the French blue & our khaki. We entrain for Paris to-night.

22nd Feb: "Hotel St. Yarnes" - Paris.
Here we are in "Gay Paris". We left Boulogne last night about 9 o'cl: & arrived here early this morning. We were grubby on arrival! And weren't we glad of breakfast & a bath when we got to the Hotel - note breakfast comes first!! We all had
