Princes Street and the Scott Monument from Register House
Description
A view of Princes Street and the Scott Monument taken from Register House, Edinburgh. The walls of Register House dominate the foreground of this image. Just in front of the building is the statue of the Duke of Wellington on horseback. Behind it lies a busy Princes Street with horse-drawn vehicles. The iron railings of the Waverley Market can be seen to the left of the towering Gothic Scott Monument. The National Gallery of Scotland stands in front of the Castle Rock.
