Description
A Japanese man in an ornate kimono decorated with geometric patterns stands before two women. He has a moustache, a tall black hat and is carrying two swords. One of the women is more plainly dressed than her companion and may be an attendant, she is also carrying a sword. The lady in the foreground is winding silk on to a wooden winder. Overhead a flowering cherry branch frames the scene.
