are continuing to press the enemy, who is hastily destroying the rich stores he has massed in the valley. The number of prisoners is continually increasing; at one point alone, they say, 700 men were captured by one Serbian Division. Things go on peacefully up at Horliack & we all feel very "out of it" - at least I know I do! Later news just come up from G.H.2. in Salonique, that "Hostilities with Bulgaria ceased at 12 o'cl: to-day". Such wonderful news - surely the beginning of the end!

Oct. 1st Convalescent Camp - Horliack.
The following official communiqué was issued from French G.H.2. in Salonique yesterday: - "A military convention was signed on Sept: 29th between the General-Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Armies in the Orient & the representatives of the Bulgairan Government. This treaty puts an end to the hostilities with Bulgaria. The Bulgarian plenipotentiaries accepted the conditions, namely the evacuation of Serb & Greek territory & the complete disarming of the Bulgarian Army". Hip, hip, hurrah! So far, so good! It is just too splendid. So this is the magnificent, rapid & unexpected result of the offensive which began at 5.30a.m. on Sunday, Sept: 15th!
