This press cutting shows the damage caused by the only air raid that occurred on Edinburgh during World War One. The image was taken on the morning after the Zeppelin raid on Edinburgh and Leith on April 2nd 1916, a Sunday. The Zeppelin raid passed over much of Edinburgh, with reported damage occurring at George Watson's College, Hadden Court, Lauriston Place, the Grassmarket and most significantly, Marshall Street where lives were lost.
