Remarks : Thumb of left hand severely cut & bruised.

edge of a newly planed
plate.
Remarks : Cut on his leg 2 1/2 ' long & 1/2 " deep. Sent to Dr
Hunter to be attended to.

This book was acquired by Museums & Galleries Edinburgh in 2018. It is, as far as we know, the only surviving working document from the earliest stages of construction of the Forth Bridge.
