the cheek with a shovel while
filling a boggie.
Remarks : Cheek cut & dressed by Dr. Hunter; Dixon then returning
to work. Got line to Dr. Hunter.

on the girder tubes the
ladder gave way.
Remarks : In falling he caught hold of the edge of an iron
plate & cut his hand severely. Got line to

This book was acquired by Museums & Galleries Edinburgh in 2018. It is, as far as we know, the only surviving working document from the earliest stages of construction of the Forth Bridge.
