Cause of Accident/Nature of Accident : Breaking of crane gear and
falling of jib at caisson.
Remarks : Injured at same times as Thos. Forker. Struck on arm &
severely injured. Seen by Dr Hunter who ordered his removal
home.
Date : May 30th
Name : James Murray Labr.
Cause of Accident/Nature of Accident : Log of timber falling on his foot
Remarks : Toes of left foot severely crushed. Seen by Dr Hunter
who ordered his removal to Royal Infy Edinr.
This book was acquired by Museums & Galleries Edinburgh in 2018. It is, as far as we know, the only surviving working document from the earliest stages of construction of the Forth Bridge.
