Blue Banner which reads, 'God Save His Highnes The Prince of Orange'
Description
One blue Protestant banner. The banner is of lightweight plain weave silk with painted decoration on both sides. The lining is made of blue cotton, the pole sleeve cream linen. The silk ribbon is stitched around the edge. The title scroll cartouche reads, 'GOD SAVE HIS HIGHNES THE PRINCE OF ORANGE PROTECTOR OF THE PROTESTANT RELIGION'. (gold on blue lettering). The motto scroll reads, 'NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSET', (gold on blue lettering);. The design features a thistle and crown below the motto, and also includes a Holy Bible on the left and right, the Edinburgh Coat of Arms is below.
