Title
Rosebury Reservoir
Description
Image shows excavation of hill siding at reservoir so a pipe or tunnel can be laid underneath it. The layers of rock and soil which make up the hill can be seen in horizontal lines running through the bulk of the hill. The brick pipe lies unfinished with the bricks to be used in its construction placed next to it. Make shift walk ways have been constructed out of wooden planks to facilitate movements across the dug out area and access to the brick work. In the background men in period dress stand as others walk around and are therefore represented as blurs. Rudimentary hoisting equipment has been set up in the background and a wooded area covers the horizon.
