On the right is Mr John Mackenzie, official modelmaker.
The yacht on the right is the 'Venetia', the third of that name, designed by Cox and King for F.W. Sykes, a photographer with 'The Geographical Journal'. In 1913 he sold her to H Swithinbank who sold her to the British Admiralty for World War One. She was renamed Eros in 1922, Trenora in 1930 when she was converted to an oil boiler, and Niki in 1947. She had 11 owners in all until 1957. She would originally have had a crew of about 20 and could carry many more passengers.
