On September 11 1997, a Referendum was held for a Scottish Parliament. In the Referendum people had two votes:
1. I agree/do not agree that there should be a Scottish Parliament
2. I agree/do not agree that a Scottish Parliament should have tax-varying powers.
This banner was displayed above the Central
Constituency Labour Party Campaign Shop,
during August and September 1997, in
the lead up to the Referendum for the Scottish
Parliament.
It was the focal point for all political parties:
Scottish Labour, S.N.P., Scottish Liberal
Democrats, and the Scottish Green Party which were involved in the YES YES campaign.
