Title
Field survey map Gorre France
Description
This is a field survey map by the Royal Engineers. The trenches are shown with their names such as Glasgow Road and Lothian Road where Scottish regiments are located. The English Regiments are based in trenches with names such as Marlebone Lane. This map illustrates how closely positioned are the British and enemy trenches. This map was used by Captain Gladstone-Millar. We can see from the folds and the mud stains that it was a heavily used resource.
