Description
Oil portrait, faded and cracked, of a member of the Edinburgh Town Guard. He is wearing the guard's uniform of red tunic with blue cuffs and collar, a tricorn hat and white sash. In his right hand he holds a glass, spilling its contents. His nose and cheeks are rosy red with drink and he looks clearly inebriated.
