The School House in Leith was previously King James' Hospital. It stood within the present grounds of South Leith Churchyard and was demolished in 1822.
Leith is situated in the north of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth. At first a town in its own right dating back to the 12th Century it was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920. With it's ongoing maritime connections it continues to be one of the UK's busiest ports.
