A thatched cottage sits at the side of Liberton Drive, Edinburgh. An external staircase reaches the doorway and there are no windows on the front of the house. A walled garden can be seen to the right hand side.

Liberton first appears as a place name in the twelfth century, its name meaning "farm at the slope". Liberton Drive was created from part of the Kirkgate in 1925.
