Red silk banner for the Socialist Sunday School of Leith
Description
One red silk banner for the Socialist Sunday School of Leith. The banner has painted decoration on both sides. The pole loops are brown cotton, there are nine at top of banner. The banner has a red silk and cotton fringe. The title scroll cartouche reads, 'SOCIALIST SUNDAY SCHOOL', and painted over top in red, 'SOCIALISM THE ONLY CURE FOR POVERTY'. At the top in gold, 'LEITH' as part of outer frame. The centre of the banner features a roundel which says, 'LOVE AND JUSTICE', in the border, and has a large red S with two smaller white S's on it, with the Labour party torch overlaid on it.
