Description
A small wooden ferry takes lady passengers over to the Dalmeny Estate at Cramond, Edinburgh. A man with a pole is punting across the boat. On the far side a small cottage can be seen at the top of the hill. Several little sailing boats can be seen in the water.

Originally a separate village, Cramond is now a suburb in the north west of Edinburgh. Set alongside the beautiful Almond Valley it retains a picturesque, village-like feel. Cramond Harbour at the mouth of the Almond is a popular location for recreational sailing.
