Description
A satirical etching of Edinburgh society members out for a walk. The crowd consists of soldiers walking with ladies (some of whom are also wearing military dress). The men are wearing military uniforms and kilts. The ladies are wearing empire line dresses and many have feathered hats and veils on. One of the gentlemen has also been drawn wearing a veil.

"This Print is highly illustrative of society in the Scottish metropolis during the warlike era of the Volunteers. On the Castle Hill, Princes Street, or the Meadow Walks, similar groups might be daily witnessed."
