Description
The last two of the fire brigade's horses stand in front of Lauriston Fire Station, Edinburgh. They have bridles and reins on and are being held by two men in uniform. Behind the horses a fire engine and firemen are emerging from the arched entrance to the station. The firemen are in uniform and are wearing Merryweather helmets. Three men and three children can also be seen watching the horses. Tenements can be seen in the background.
