John Brandard, a well known lithographer at the time was commissioned with the illustration. The illustration features the inside of the large doomed building, purpose-built for the occasion. Crowds of people occupy the various tiers. The figures are mostly in outline with more detail and colour given to the figures in the foreground showing the many different nationalities as pictured by their dress. The focal point of the graphic contains a large Roman numeral clock and the highly decorative wall above it, containing the words "The Wise and their Works are in the Hands of the Lord". The names of continents are inscribed in the panels around the dome and various flags are flown.
