A set of bookshelves set in a niche have fallen into disrepair in a room with wooden floor boards. The remaining shelves are decorated with a stud pattern, while the frame of the niche is decorated with wooden flower fretwork.

Craig's Close originally ran from the north side of the High Street in Edinburgh down to Market Street. Its southern section was destroyed in an extension to City Chambers in the 1930's. Its northern section remains, running from Cockburn Street down to Market Street.
