Description

From a hilly vantage point Holyroodhouse Palace and Abbey in Edinburgh are visible as are the numerous paths that lead to them. Behind these structures are the buildings of the Canongate and prominant industrial chimneys. Visible on the distant Calton Hill are the National Monument and Nelson's Monument.

St Anthony's Chapel is perched above St Margaret's Loch on the north side of Arthur's Seat. The building dates from the mid 15th Century. The Chapel's origins are unclear. It is thought to have connections with the Knights Hospitallers of St Anthony in Leith.
