Description
In front of a tenement building in Broughton Road are several advertising posters pasted to walls. The posters are for various items, these include, Lux, Bisto, H P Sauce, Bovril, Nestle's Milk and a show at the Royal Lyceum by the Edinburgh Opera Company. There are several chimney pots on top of the buildings.

Broughton was originally a separate village to the north of Edinburgh. It became absorbed into the city during Edinburgh's northward expansion in the 18th and 19th centuries.
