Description
A busy street scene. Tenement and shop buildings are in the background. Washing is being hung out of a window. Smoke rises out of the chimney stacks on the roofs of the buildings. A canopy sits above the stairs leading to the entrance way of a building. The steps have a handrail on one side. Men, women and children walk along the pavement of the street. On the road are many horse-drawn carts. Men and children are sitting on the carts. The horses have blinkers and bridles. Two dogs stand beside a man with a hat. A horse-drawn carriage is further along the roadway.
