Jackson's Close, High Street, at present being reconstructed
Description
A section of the High Street on Edinburgh's Royal Mile shows some men on the pavement at a junction. The tenement buildings are several stories high and in the middle at ground and first floor level is the premises of T Baillie, first class hairdresser and tobacconist. The movement of a vehicle is captured as a blur against the cobbled road as it passes.

The High Street is the section of Edinburgh's Royal Mile that runs from George IV Bridge down to its junction with Jeffrey Street and St. Mary's Street.
