Lauriston Place - north side, old cattle market
Description
Cattle have been herded into pens at the cattle market behind Lauriston place in Edinburgh. Men walk on the cobblestone road amongst the animals and lean against the metal pens. The rooftops of houses can be seen over the market, as can buildings in Edinburgh Castle.

Lauriston Place in Edinburgh runs west from the south end of Forrest Road to Tollcross. Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary was situated on Lauriston Place until 2003.
