Description

A blacksmith is at work in his smiddy and women are outside a fishmongers in Hamilton's Entry in Edinburgh's Old Town. Barrels, boxes and cauldrons are outside both establishments. The roof of the blacksmiths has pantiles.

Hamilton's Entry was located off Bristo Street in Edinburgh. It was destroyed in the construction of Marshall Street in the late 19th century, which was itself largely destroyed in the construction of Bristo Square.
