Description
Hearts and Hibs fans return to Easter Road for the first "New Year Derby” match for two years. The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) pulled forward their three week winter break in response to Covid restrictions on crowd size at major events due to the Omicron variant. The 2022 Edinburgh Derby fixture was moved from the 3rd January to the 1st February. 50% of the crowd required to have their Covid Passport checked or show evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test with long queues ahead of kickoff.
